The proflt3 m are small per acre, but the large acre- !age makes it worth while. Hhe figured fig-ured the average yield per acre to be from 12 to 15 bushels, which will pay good interest on the Investment on 500 acres or more. Not only do the dry farmers raise wheat, says Mr. Norton, but corn grows well and a good harvest of potatoes po-tatoes and other garden stuff is pos sible. He has 40 acres planted to corn and he sayB that it la as fine looking corn at this time as can be seen on irrigated land. |
