L White was taken up for trial before a jury. Mr., Smith is suing for $H0rt alleged al-leged -to be due for architectural work and supervision on the Fraternity building on Washington nvenuo, between be-tween Twenty-third and Twenty I fourth streets. The plaintiff claims that it cost $28,000 to construct the building. The defendant denies that he owes the plnlntiff any more than $400 which amount he Is ready to pay at any time Mr. White also stateB that ihe building did not cost more than $19,166 David J. Johns. H W, Murdock, George Hill, John G. Ellis, Alma T. Dozey, Philip Planz, J. E. Williams, and B. G Blackman were empaneled as jurymen. oo |
