At a meeting of the board of county coun-ty commissioners yesterday afternoon. Mrs M. EL Spencer, one of Ogden's most prominent society women, was selected as visiting housekeeper for both city and county, the work to begin be-gin December 1. Mrs. Spencer will be paid a salary of JrtO a month and her duties will be to visit and Inspect In-spect households throughout the coun- ty. especially those who ask aid from the county, with a view of providing systematic arrangements In the homes so that expenses can be reduced to a minimum. The request that Mrs. Spencer be ippolnted to the position was m2de some time ago by the Children's Aid society. SURPRISE PARTY.
