Kay kicked to the Salt Lake thirty-three yard line and old style football and a forward pass took the ball to Ogdea's 40-yard line Ogden braced and after two downs were registered on Salt Lake without much gain, a forward pass was tried without avail and the ball was then punted behind the Ogden line. Ogden was given the ball on the 20-yard line and was held tight for three downs. A punt put them out of danger and the Salt Lake player that caught the ball was downed in his tracks by Hastings. Old fashioned play was tried by both teams for the next three or four minutes, when two end runs and a forward pass landed Peterson over the Ogden goal line with the ball. The kickover was successful and Salt Lake had sevon points. The feature of tho second quarter ass the recovery ef the ball by Dee, after a fumble by a Salt Lake player. Dee was substituted for DeYoung, at the opening of the quarter. The remainder of the game waB featureless until almost the last minute min-ute of play, when Brown, the heavy Salt Lake guard, made a spectacular drop kick, sending the ball over the Ogden goal from the fifty-yard line. The game was marked throughout by slowness of play on the part of the Ogden team, Mataon's delays in making forward passes being especially espe-cially marked In tackling, Hastings played his usual spectacular game, which was equalled by Dee, while Kingsford and Falck starred in making mak-ing gains with the ball.
