Show TlflST OF TABERNACLE CHOIR CONCERTS SEPT. 24 3 j David Reese, the prominent Utah tenor, began his tour of the larger 1 1 cities of the state last night, with a ) recital in the Salt Lake Tabernacle 1 He is to sing tomorrow night at Pro-1 Pro-1 vo. his home town, in Ogden on Sep- tember 24, Malad, Sept 26; Brighan. 1 City, September 23; American Fork, 1 September 29; logan, September 26; and Tooele, October 2 After the 1 completion of the tcur, Mr. Recsf I is to return to New York to perfect himself in Grand opera roles in 1 French, German and Italian. In his Ogden recital, Mr Reese is to sing fourteen numbers, eight ot which will be in English. Anions the others will be the noted "Invictus" by Bruno Huhn and the great tenor 1 aria from the opera La Boheme, the latter being by special request which be has receUed from local music lovers. lov-ers. Miss Mabel Borg is to assist Mr Reese as accompanist and will also appear in several solo numbers Miss I Borg Is a pupil of the noted New ! York teacher and composer Stojaws j kl, one of whose compositions she is I to play. She has just completed u 1 concert tour with Miss Florence Jep-person. Jep-person. the well known Utah contra! to. and has been received with favor at every appearance. The Ogden Tabernacle choir, whose campaign for funds for the 1915 California Cali-fornia trip will be inaugurated with this recital, will sing three numbers and the rehearsal which the organization organi-zation will hold tonight will be taken up with the preparation for this event nr |
