Show REWARD OFFERED FOR DESERTER Seattle, April G. Fifty dollars reward re-ward has been offered by the government govern-ment for tho arrest of Captain J. H. Griffiths, U. S. A., deserter. He is described as being 45 years old, five feet ten and one half inches tall, weight 155 pounds, light complexion, light hair, blue eyes, smooth shaven. Captain Griffiths, formerly disturbing disturb-ing officer of the United States quartermaster's quar-termaster's office in Seattle, who disappeared dis-appeared from his hotel quarters Saturday Sat-urday night, is supposed to have fled from the city. He had been under arrest soveral weeks, confined to his quarters, on bis honor as a gentleman, gentle-man, ponding court martial trial on a charge that he had embezzled ?9000 of government funds. Tho courtuiartial was to have assembled as-sembled today at Fort Layton. oo |
