and three others whose name could not be learned were it seemed bent on starting a fight and after working on that line for a period which embraced the entire show time in stirring up enough fight to satisfy them for many days to come the park city fellows began their nasty work during the early part of the entertainment by making loud remarks to the performers and boisterously ridiculing the acts or the trained ani mals an officer went to them and they at once subsided however his leaving they renewed their efforts and became annoying not only to those of the show but remarks were nothing short of insulting to the spectators in the seats near them when the show was over the fellows went out of the tent and began destroying the property of the circus company by kicking in the sides of some of tha wagons used in the acts by the shetland ponies at the same time using all kinds of vile and obscene language As soon as the crowd got by they began an assault on the few showmen who were near and in the early part of the melee one of the showmen named beck received a cut in the neck and a shot was fired an alarm was sounded by the show people and in a few seconds the entire crowd rushed to the scene and the local disturbers disturb ers received all that was coming to them all of them but one received thorough club bings and this one only escaped by tha prompt action of
