The scores were 1" to H 12 and 7 to C. The second game went H 11 innings. H In the first contest nearly all of the H I pitchers on both teams were used, but H none of the local twlrlers were very H successful. Irby sent Byrd In to start H the bail rolling anl later switched to H vicars and Bryan. McCloskey pitched B Erlckson a while and later sent in H .Tenson, Stone, Jachs and Knight The H first three named were forced to H leave the mound because of the bat- H I ting of the visitors. Knight had par- H nal success at his turn In the box H In the first game four home runs were H made. Two of them wore gathered H by Van, who hoisted the ball over the j fence each time. H A grand pitching battle between 1 . Bryan and Knight took place in the Hl ' second game. Ogden scored in the H ' second inning, but Holena took a lead H in the seventh and grabbed two in the Hl ninth. A pair of singles and two er- M rors that went to Ogden tied the score. In the tenth the home team lost its chance to win the game through a managerial orror In tho eleventh inning Lussl's triple and a pair of singles put two men across Knight walloped out a rim In the last frame, but the team stopped two points short of victory.
