Geddes, formerly general superintendent of the GoldOeld Consolidated Con-solidated Mines company and who us general manager brought the Goldfleld Daisy into the producing class, has returned re-turned from a property he owns in Churchill county, bringing with him a number of intorestlng specimens, which were shown to a Gazette representative rep-resentative at tho Riverside hotel. "This Is, Judging from tho samples and the description given by Mr. Geddes, Ged-des, anothor "big steam shovel proposition, propo-sition, such as the porphyry beds of Ely. "The values are in glance, bornite and copper silicate. They are practically prac-tically all In metallic form, which permits of reduction with the least possible loss. "The property is located about 100 miles from Winnemucca in a southerly souther-ly direction from that town, in tho eastern portjon of Churchill county. "Mr. Geddes expectB to start operations opera-tions without delay. There is a strong possibility of a railroad being built to within striking distance of tho property next season " Wlnnemuccans Own Property. The property referred to is that which was recently located bjr Phil Blume, J E Kendall and George Far-rls Far-rls of Winnemucca and which the owners visited last week in company with Mr. Geddes. A6 the result of tho latter's inspection he acquired an Interest in the property and arrangements arrange-ments were nade for starting development devel-opment work at once. Yesterday morning George Farris left for the property, taking with him several men and a complete outfit and large amount of supplies. Mr. Farris will superintend the development work, which will be prosecuted with vigor |
