Show PUNCTUREj-PROOF PNEUMATIC TIRE E. A. Story, 720 Sanson! street. Philadelphia, has taken out a patent dated January 19, 1909, for a puncture proof 'pneumatic tire which Is quite an innovation. It consists of a series of steel plates lapping one over the other, and imbedded in tho rubber beneath be-neath tho surface, much on the principle prin-ciple of fish scales. The tiro is absolutely puncture proof and has been fully tested by H. B. Robinson, a lumber merchant, for moro than 500 miles, and Clinton Breckley of Ocean City, who has driven driv-en the tires more than 1,000 miles. Both aro Immensely pleased with the service they have got fiom the tirc3, and praise them very highly. |
