Show PEACH DAY HAS NEWJEATURES Brlgham City, Aug. 30. The attractions at-tractions for Peach day, September 18, will soon be determined upon finally. fin-ally. Arrangements for a big baseball base-ball game have been made whereby Caoho county will furnish a picked team to play a Box Elder or Brlgham Cltv team. H. J. Stoney of Logan was in the city yesterday conferring with A. M. Morill, manager of the Peach day celebration. Ho will he assisted by B. Lawrence of Lewis-ton Lewis-ton in selecting a team and training the players. The Box Elder team will be in charge of W. Voscoo Call. Anothor and new feature this yenr will be a broncho riding contest in the ball park to follow tho ball game, and the management promises that a "rough" time will be shown the visitors. A regular quarterly conference of 'the Box Elder stake will be hold In this city Saturday and Sunday, which will bo comprised, of five sessions, two Saturday and three meetings Sunday." Among the visitors from church headquarters will be Apostle James E. Talraage and Elder Joseph W. McMurren of the first council of seventy. At the Sunday evening meeting Apostle Talmage will lecture lec-ture on "Evolution." Singing for this meeting will be furnished by the Willard choir under the direction of Miss Lottie Owens. Helgar J. Packer and S. D. Mad-sen Mad-sen have received calls to go ou missions mis-sions next month. A farewell social will bo tendered Mr. Packer Tuesday evening In the First ward meeting house. |
