Show MUCH HOPE FOR RECOVERY OF " JOE BAILEY Two weoks ago day before yesterday yester-day J V. Balloy, while eating lunch with D.-nid Eccles and Judge II H. Rolapp. was stricken down with an attack of lumbago, coupled with pleurisy and acute rheumatism of the loft leg. He was taken to his homo in an automobile and since that tlmo ho has gono through an ordeal that would snap tho llfe-Btrlngs of any one less strong and robuaL It is said today, however, that Mr. Bailey is on the way to recovory and tho attending physicians are encouraged encour-aged over his condition. His family and friends are rejoicing that he Is Improving aud they fervently hope lor his complete restoration to health. The aoctors soon discovered that the arteries of tho lower limbs were not performing tholr natural functions as a result of which the loft leg was deprived of its vitality. To save his life amputation of tho left leg above the knee became necessary. The danger point In Mr. Bailey's condition has not boon passed, but it is expected that he" will recover. Ho told the nurGcs that he is feeling much bettor and that It will not bt long before he will be out again. |
