Show MRS. JOENSGN'S FUNERAL AT 10JLM. The funeral of Mrs. W. E. Johnson of Goldfleld, Nev , was held at the Klrkeudall chapel at 10 a. m., today under the direction of the Christian Science church of this city. Burial took place in Mountain View come-too'. come-too'. Tho services were conducted by Mrs, W. F. Rudlger, first reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Mrs. Margaret Slater, second reader, each or whom read impressive passages pas-sages from the lltoraturo of their faith. Mrs. William Allison rendered two solos, "Spring" from Haydn's "Creation," and "Rest in tho Lord" from Mcndclshoon's "Elijah " Tho floral offerings woro profuse, covering the entire platform of the chapel and surrounding tho caskot. The pall bearers were Ralph Hoag, John Plngrce, John Icwis, William Shealy, Frank Nidbols and John Hearst. Mrs. Johnson was 37 years of age and was tho daughter "of Mr. and Mrs Daniel Hayes She came to Ogden Og-den n the early '00's and taught at tho Grant avenue school previous to her marriage In 1897 to Mr. Johnson. She was widely known In Ogden during dur-ing her residence here and left a host of friends when sho moved to Nevada to mako her home. She is survived by her husband and two children. Florence, aged 14, and Billy, aged C, also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Duvld Urquart wife of the iead of the commissary department of tho South-em South-em Pacific; Mrs. E. W MattEon of Ogden. Mrs. John Norrls of Chicago, Chick Hayes, now married and living in California, Waltor Hayes of Los Angeles, and Park C. Hayes, publisher publish-er of a paper at Lander. Wyo. Mr and Mrs Urquart are now-crossing now-crossing the Atlantic for a two years' tour of Europe. W E. Johnson, husband of the do-ceased, do-ceased, was cmploved for a number of ycarB in the office of W H Chev-ers Chev-ers and was later appointed agent at Corlnne. Ho Is now vlco prepldent of John S. Cook & Co.. a bonkiim Institution of Goldfleld. George Wlngflelri, president of the bank, attended at-tended the funeral, accompanied by his wife. |
