Many of the cases on the calendar were passed for the term but the court stated that an effort would bo made to gain some time during the month of January, with a view to henr-ing henr-ing more cases in the following months. The Southworth case took up so much time of the court this month that most of the civil cases set for hearing had to be continued. The only criminal case set for January Jan-uary is that of tho State against Jack Britt and it is stated that the trial of that case will occupy only about two das" time |
