Russell Sage and .Miss Helen Gould with Christmas presents today in appreciation of the help they had given to tho Young Men's Christ-inn Christ-inn association In the navy A committee of four bluejackots from ships which make Norfolk, ra., their home port, "came here with a handsome table cover which the sailors sail-ors themselves had embroidered, working out the various naval em-hleina em-hleina with great skill, and presented 11 to .Mr. Rockefeller while ho was dining with his family at his town house today. The rotired oil magnate mag-nate told the boys he was made very happy with the remembrauco. The boys in turn told him how much the naval Y. M. C. A. at Norfolk, Nor-folk, for which Mr. Rockefeller had furnished the funds, was appreciated. Two sailors of tho battleship Delaware Dela-ware made presents of a fine French clock to Miss Gould and two dozen American beauty roses to Mrs. Sage ' in behnlf of the naval T M. C A. of Brooklyn tho establishment and and extension of whfch were made possible possi-ble by their gifts. The sailors reported re-ported that Mrs. Sage and Miss Gould were much plea6od. |
