U., returned to Ogden Og-den last Tuesday for the purpose of organizing two new unions In the Sec-and Sec-and and Fourth municipal wards. On Tuesday afternoon, assisted by the president of the central Union, Mrs Shepard organized the Second ward union at the home of Mrs. Allco Dunsmore, with the following officers: President Mrs. W S. Flewelllng. Vice President Mrs. Alice Duns-more. Duns-more. Secretary Mrs. Emily Tabor. Treasurer Mrs. Grace Schultz, The union starts with 23 active and four honorary, or men. members. The second Tuesday of the month was chosen as the meeting day, tho next meeting to be entertained by Mrs. J. B Tilmblc at Wo. 7 Wilson's Lane. On Wednesday afternoon the ladies of the Fourth ward met at the home of Mrs. C. A. Smurthwalto, BOG Twenty-third street, and organized with the following ladles elected as officers: offi-cers: President Mrs. Homer A. Seip. Vice President Miss L. Jennio Prout. Secretary Mrs. W. A. Mlddleton. Treasurer Mrs. Barbara K el ley. Membership Secretary Mrs. B. 15 Newton. This union staits with thirty-one active ac-tive and seven honorary members. All ladles interested In temperance work are invited to anv of these meet ings. On Tuesday evening the executive committee of the central union held an executive meeting and consultation with Mrs. Shepard at the home of Mrs. Flowolllng It -ras decided to work for the passage of the Kenyon-Mor--rls ibill now beforo congress. To replenish the treasury of tho central union a rummage sale was decided de-cided on and Mrs. S. S. Smith wag placed in charge. Great stress will be laid on purity work this year and Mrs. G. A. Mullet literature superintendent, will send for literature along this line. Miss Kennedy, suporintondent pf tho circulation of the W C. T u. national na-tional papers, is to prepare progianm for the obuorvatlon of Union Signnl Day, by all tho unions. Frances Willard Memorial Day will he observed by all the unions In a mass moptlnir which will hv nrmnired by Miss Chapman, superintendent o Red Letter and social meetings. An Invitation was extended to the State W. C. T. U. to hold tho state convention in Ogdonjnoxt October.
