Suydam and f Frederick Noble, tho young plumber, for the lovo of whom Mrs. Suydam ran away from her millionaire hUBband and marrlod. The 'bodies of Noble $ and his bride of a month were found in their New York apart- f ment today. The couple had i- been asphyxiated by gac. -f The suicide pact, and c discovery of its results by Mrs. John J. White of Washington, D. C, mother of Mm. Noble, and other featuros of tho case, wcro somsatlonal. Mra White, who has an apartment on Lexington avenue, bad her daughter daugh-ter as a vlaltor last night, and supposed sup-posed the daughter would remain over night Whon, however, Mrs. Whito awoke' this morning,- she found that nor daughter had fled the house, and she hurried immediately to her daugh- iK i i-fgijggg ter's apartment on Wet Twelfth streot. She became alarmed when there was no answer to hor repealed knocks, and summoned two policemen, who forced an entrance. Tho'v entrance door had boen barricaded vrlth chairs and tnble6, and the doors of all tho rooms of the largo apartment were lockod and barricaded Couplp Found on Kitchen Floor. When the party forced Its way to the dining room, tho odor of gas waa first detected, and the mother became hysterical. Breaking through tho next door, which led Into the kitchen, kitch-en, the party found Noble and his wifo lying dead on the floor, their heads almost inside the otcn of the gas range. They were partly undress- ed and clasped In each other's arms. A great volume of gas was escaping from flvo burnors of tho range, and the oven Jets also wore turnod on The woman was clad ln a silk klmona She lay with Noblo'B loft arm encircling en-circling her body, their heads being close together. Every window In tho apartment was closed and bolted, Mrs. "Whito, who was the first to seo the bodies, shrieked and fainted. She was resuscitated with difficulty. Tho couple loft notes to explain their act. but the police wero convinced con-vinced It was a case of double sul-cldo. sul-cldo. The coronor also doclarod tho circumstances left no doubt that such was the case. Suydam Is Much Affoctod. A fow minutes after the discovery, Mrs. Noble's formor husband, "Walter. Llapenard Suydam, a millionaire, was summoned by telephone and arrived ar-rived quickly in his automobile.
