Shouting charges of corruption and yelling that the supporters of Jose Pino Suarez had bought their votes, the supporters support-ers of Dr Francisco Vasquez Gomez marched out of the convention tonight to-night while tho first ballot was in progress, taaklng it impossible for the balloting of the vice presidential candidates to continue for tho time. This followed closely on the clearing of one of the galleries by the police when the students cheering for Gomez Go-mez created so great a tumult that the work was temporarily stopped. The supporters of Gomez had de- voiopea unexpected strengtn uunng the day and every available vote was guarded jealously. Tho supporters of Suarez had already been charged with Irregular methods; so when a delegate from Chihuahua placed fifty votes representing 5,000 members in his state, there was a comparing of notes, with the result that he was charged with abusing the confidence placed In him' by his constituents, who had Instructed him to vote for Gomez. An unforeseen obstacle presented itself immediately after the convention conven-tion got down to business. Delegates, party leaders and those directing tho busInpBs of tho big meeting were congratulating con-gratulating themselves that a few hours would suffice to select the vlco presidential candidate The secretary secre-tary announced that many telegrams had been received over night from clubs desiring to name other proxies than those originally authorized. Apparently Ap-parently scenting a coup of some sort, hundreds of delegates began shouting disapproval of the change In the existing representation. Out of the tangle that resulted grew an insistent demand that a new canvass of the delegates be mado to check the number of votes to which each was entitled before a vote was taken. Each delegate Is ontitled to a vote for every one hundred members of the club which he represents. The day's session was characteriz ed oy tecnouanesF as pronounced as were the disorders of yesterday and the day before. However, some excitement ex-citement was caused just before the vote, when Chairman Sanchez Az-cona, Az-cona, hi an appeal for the continuation continua-tion of good order, announced that bo had information that a supply of eggs and oranges had been smuggled Into tho galleries by a certain group of spectators who purposed to bombard bom-bard delegates In case tho rosult of tho balloting displensed them.
