Show ANNUAL BANQUET OF BREWERY IN The annual banquet of Brewery Workers' Local -No. 325, was, held In Union Labor hall last evening Tho affair was a complete social success and eclipsed in many respects any social event yet given by this popular local. Preceding the banquet the following program was rendered by the following follow-ing well know singers and speakers: Bass solo, "Tho Village Blacksmith" Mr. H. J. Ware. Address of Welcome, President Geo. Dinsdale. , Soprano solo, "Sweet Clover," Stella Stel-la Wright. Reaitatlon, "A Mother's Daring," Miss Marcello Dinsdale. Soprano solo, "T'was but a Dream," Artie Simpson. Address, Ben Jansen. Soprano solo, "Good Night Dear," Miss Bessie Blair. Encore, "Senora," Miss Blair. Address, William Wessley. Piano solo, "Alpino Horn," Miss Nellie Thomas. Piano solo, "Minstrel King," Ernest' Oborn. Soprano solo, "Sugar Moon," Pearl Williams Encore, "Amlna." Tenor solo. "Cause I'd Nothing Else to Do," Encore, "In the Shadows of the Old Carolina Hills," Orson Griffin. The accompaniments were played by Mamie Peterson and Cora Richards, Rich-ards, Nellie i homas and Ernest Oborn. Each nunifier was thoroughly enjojed bv all present At 10:30 the guests, numbering 175 persons gathered around the banquet tables and partook of a feast. During Dur-ing the progress of the supper. W. D. Watson of the Central Trades and Labor assembly, in a neat speech, made motion that a vote of congratulation congratu-lation and appreciation lv given the Brewery Workers for tho splendid evening of entertninment The motion was unanimously adopted The le-mainder le-mainder of the eveilug was spent in having a general good time. Credit for the success of the affair is due the following committeemen: Program, Alonzo West. Arrangements Arrange-ments and banquet, Geo. Dinsdale, E. H Wright and Carl Larson. Reception, Recep-tion, Myron Watson, Leonard Wright, Joseph Johnson, Geo. M Thenn, Alfred Al-fred Peterson, Wm. Carlson and James Atkinson. The party broke up at 12 p. m. |
