Mrs. John W, Springer took the stand shortly be-foie be-foie noon today In the trial of Frank II Ilenwood, charged with the murder of Geo. F Copeland and Louis Von Phul at the Brown Palace hotel a month ago. Mrs. Springer was on the stand but a lew minutes when she was excused In order that the defendant, Ilenwood might first testify Henwood then proceeded pro-ceeded to tell of the events in th bar-rcom at the Brown Palace hotek preceding the shooting.
