On July A a monstrous parade, in which marched every Monticello resident res-ident and most of tho visitors, was one of the prominent features. In which rode girls and children representing Columbia, the Goddess of Llbprly, Utah and "Utah's Best Ciop" and nowhere could there have been chosen a more likely bunch of youngsters to represent the latter, Horse racing, steer roping and broncho bron-cho busting were exciting features of the celebration. In the steer roping rop-ing contest Walter Wood of Moab, an old time cowpuncher won out, roping, throwing and llelng his steer in exactly 80 seconds. "Golda," belonging to Theo. T. Duncan Dun-can of Moab, was tho winner over all other horses entered in tho fast-ost fast-ost races. John E.
