B j The Utah state board of health is distributing throughout the Hj late a circular entitled "Save the Babies," which contains rules for H I the feeding and care of infants in the summer. The circular contains H much which is valuable to the mother. BH The following ds taken from the circular: Hj "More than one thousand infants under the age of one year an- Bj nually die in Utah. A large proportion of this frightful waste of B life is absolutely unnecessary, as it surely could be provented by H proper care and management. An appeal is made to mothers, on fl "whom chiefly rests the salvation of the baby, to acquaint themselves B with the life-saving methods of child hygiene made known by mod- B crn science and to faithfully apply thorn, in place of the antiquated H v and irrational customs which are so destructive to infant life. Bn ! Infant mortality is vastly increased during .the summer mouths.
