Show MOTHER IS ASKING FOR HERCDILD The hearing1 of the motion of Mrs. Elizabeth Clark Benton, for a modification modi-fication of a decree of divorce issued In 190S agalnBt William H. Clark, by which Mr. Clark was given the custody cus-tody of Lillian Clark, daughter of the parties to the action, is being heard by Judge Harris. At tho time the divorco was granted, Mrs. Clark consented to Mr. Clark taking ono of the children, Lillian, and she wns given tho care and custody cus-tody of the other child. Helen in that tlmo Mrs. Clark married E. P. Benton, and, her circumstances now being such a3 to enable hor to tako car of both of the girls, she has petitioned pe-titioned tho court to permit her to do so She says tnnt It would be better for the girls to bo reared together. Mr Clark resists the petition.' claiming that he 13 amply ablo to take care of Lillian and give her proper prop-er education Ho Is employed In Idaho, Ida-ho, but says that Lillian Is left in the caro of his relatives whon ho Is away, and Is being given the best of care. He contends that there was an understanding un-derstanding that ho should keep Lillian Lil-lian and that there should be no alimony ali-mony paid by him. Mrs. Clark says, however, that sho did not understand that he was to keep the girl for all time. She thought she could have the child as soon as sho was able, financially, fin-ancially, to support the child. 00 |
