A YOIM GIRL : SWIMS 17 MILES New York, July 10 One of the most remarkable distance swimming feats performed In recent years in New York waters was accomplished by Miss Adeline Trapp yesterday Miss Trapp. who Is 19 years old and weighs 120 pounds, swam from the pier end of Yonkers down tho Hudson to the foot of West Forty-Second Forty-Second street, a distance of seventeen miles. According to the chart, tho course measures fifteen miles In crossing and re-crossing the river in order to get the benefit of the most advantageous advan-tageous currents, the young women .stroked an additional two miles.
