Dr Ourtiss condemned our H workshlp of the Three R's and maln- H l t'aincd that tho most vital thing in H child education was unrestrained H muscular movement, with a minimum H of in-door book work. H ' Professor Bishop maintained that any system of education which omitted omit-ted agriculture was wrong and must be remedied Ho maintained that the most important study for the child was agriculture. His talk was in reality a severe condemnation of present pre-sent methods of instruction in Utah and elsewhere. Both educators were greeted with crowded houses and their lectures are causing considerable consider-able discussion among the teachers of the state assembled here. oo |
