Edwin D Mead of Boston writes to Dr David Starr Jordan that tho World Peace Foundation in that city has re- -' ii ceived strong resolutions indorsing President Taft'a negotiation of the unreserved un-reserved arbitration treaty with Great Britain from 138 'of the loading boards of tiado and chambers of commerce com-merce in the United States, and every mall Is bringing similar resolutions fiom other comorcial bodies. Man ot them are accompanied by warm and earnest personal letters from the presidents or secretaries of tho various organizations These bodlcB represent the almost unanimous sentiment of the leading business men of their several sev-eral cities and the cities already thtiB heard from have a combined population popula-tion of 19.000,000. The resolutions and many of tho accompanying letters will bo forwarded to the foreign relations re-lations committee of the senate. |
