The scarcity of this metal has resulted in an advance ad-vance in price from $45 to $105 an ounce. The White Btar Mining Company, operating in North Star district, Beaver Bea-ver county, Utah, C. H. Thompson, president, recently consigned two car loads of ore to the Salt Lake market which netted $52.25 per ton. The company is putting in new equipment, including compressor, hoist and other machinery, which Is to be electrically operated.
