Show EX-GO V. SPRY ; IN MILFORD Southern Utah's Staunch Friend Interested in Local Mines Ex-Governor William R. Spry and party arrived in Milford this morning. In the party are ex-Governor Spry, Ernest R. Woolley, promoter of mining 1 properties;' Harry Parker of the Antelope Star, and Albert Me- Lease of the East Antelope, An- telope Star and other proper- ties. The gentlemen are all in- terested in mines and went to- day to Copper Mountain to in- spect that district. A few days since Benj. Tibbey and Alex. Maughn of Salt Lake City were here for the same purpose. Incidentally the News wishes again to remark that the ser- vices of ex-Governor Spry to thi3 part of the State are be- coining more and 'more to be appreciated. He did a great deal for southern. Utah and he is still interested in the development of our resources to a great de- gree. To the personal efforts of ex-Governor Spry is largely due the "discovery" of the Dixie country and Little Zion by that we mean so far as the out- side world is concerned. And every one in the southwest praises Citizen Spry for what he has done for this section of the great State of Utah. |
