Show BEAVER CO. SENDS FIRST TW0MEN Myron Lewis of Milford and Dean Clark of Beaver are the two fortunate fortu-nate drafted men to be the first to go to the training camp. They had been notified that they were to go to Salt Lake Saturday, but this morning morn-ing they received word from Sheriff Fotheringham that they were to go tonight on the evening train to the State capital. From there they will be sent to American Lake, Washington, Washing-ton, where is located the training camp prepared for the men of this section. Myron Lewis has a host of friends in Milford who will wish him good luck and every success in the new life he is to take up for Uncle Sam. He is an enterprising and industrious industri-ous young man of business, interested interest-ed in mining properties and considerable consid-erable real estate in Beaver county. He has had to hustle very hard to get his affairs in a condition to leave on such short notice. Dean Clark is a trusted employe of the Beaver River Power Company and a young man of good character and promise. The two are the' kind of fellows that Uncle Sam needs for the foundation of his new army. These two Beaver -county boys will probably soon be wearing the chevrons chev-rons of non-commissioned officers. They are fortunate in being chosen as Beaver county's two per cent to go to camp first. TKn time, in or, oliftrt Ihot 1 f t t I H P n 11 be done to give the boys a fitting send-off which they deserve, but every citizen should be at the train tonight if possible to bid them godspeed god-speed and give them a few rousing cheers at least. |
