Show -NEW POTASH MILL IX SIGHT AT MARYSVALE It is already an established fact that the Bradburn owners have found such a grade and quantity or ore that will justify them in building a mill, but whether it will be built here in Marysvale or in the east near the gas wells and better transportation trans-portation facilities is a matter of conjecture. This matter will be settled when Mr. Kennedy, the local Bradburn man, goes to Pittsburg an8 confers with other officials of the com-, com-, pany. Now" that it is proven that silica can be separated from alunite in commercial quantities, an expensive expen-sive process, the firm will brobably feel inclined to place their mill where they may obtain the cheapest fuel and the best transportation ta- cilities. The business men of this town should get together and see that the mill is placed here, or do everything in their power to have it placed here. Whether cheaper fuel is available in the east is a matter of doubt, as surveys sur-veys have shown us that some of the. largest coal beds in the world are located in Utah, and not more than 100 miles from Marysvale. " The opening of the new Florence mill has already shown us what an industry of this kind can do for stimulating business. Right now there Is perhaps a bigger business since the new mill opened than before. be-fore. And that is but a drop in the bucket. With the opening of the Bradburn mill and Pittsburg mill, other capital is bound to be interested inter-ested and come in, and there are dozens doz-ens of properties around here running run-ning high grade ore which aren't producers because of lack of capital to work them. Every person in Marysvale is vitally vi-tally Interested in this, or should be. Now is the opportunity that this camp has been- waiting fifty years for and the time to strike is when the iron, is hot. The Commercial club could do good work by getting in communication with Denver & Rio Grande officials and see if something some-thing can't be done to speed up transportation as an inducement for tho new mill to locate here.
