This is the first time such a big I event has been attempted by the I local Scout troop. The committee feels that with the cooperation of each parent this banquet will be a huge success. The committee would appreciate the cooperation of each parent, boy and girl, by purchasing a ticket and making early reservations in order that ' the various committees will be able to proceed with the plans and make final arrangements. The boys are very busy working on their requirements to become registered ' Scouts. A number of them have passed all the tenderfoot tender-foot requirements and are starting start-ing to work for the second class. . The following second class Scouts, accompanied by Assistant Scoutmaster John Yack, went on a 14-mile hike Saturday, which is required of all first class Scouts: Donald Bird, Robert Clark, Don Christensen, Dan Gillies and Stanley Hughes. These boys have already passed on a number of the first class requirements. |
