Show I Milford C. C. C. Camp Notes By Leon G. Kidd Basketball The C C C basketball team will play the Minersville M-Men team at the Milford high school gym Saturday night. We are expecting a good game. Several of the men that arrived last week are fast basketball players and, with sufficient suf-ficient practice, should be a great help to the team. Cyril "Pep" Johnson, former company clerk and C C C reporter for the Milford News, paid us a visit Sunday. the U. S. S. Washington for! One-half mile of telephone line was completed and on five road j projects 9.2 miles were completed and 21.5 miles reconditioned so, that it is possible to travel over same. j Two reservoirs were under construction. Approximately 3000 cubic yards of earth were placed in the embankment, also 3215 lineal feet of diversion canal was completed together with 1300 j square yards of bank; also 40 cubic cu-bic yards of rock excavation. Spike ( amp At Beaver j About 25 men are working on the new spike camp near Beaver, getting it in shape to move to it. The new camp will be occupied by i the members of this company and . is located about two milits east of Beaver. It is thought that it will be ready to move into by the first, of next month. 1 |
