Show Caravan Coming To Help Recruiting In an effort to speed enrollment of more women from the Beaver copnty area in the armed forces a "Women's War Service Caravan" Cara-van" of combined WAVES, WACS, SPARS and Marines will arrive in iMilford May 17 to present a fastj action' show at 2:30 p.m., according accord-ing to an announcement by M. H.I Pool, president of the Milford town board of trustees, who mt with representatives of the navy, army and state council of defense Thursday forenoon. Coming to Milford for the meeting meet-ing were Clem Schramm, state defense de-fense coordinator, Lieutenant Donald Don-ald Human, army recruiting officer, of-ficer, and Lieutenant LeRoy D. Simmons, navy public relations officer for Utah. The town officials and citizens of Milford have been called upon by the army and navy departments depart-ments and Governor Herbert B. Maw to support the caravan effort and attend the pageant of "women at war" and hear the story of the important, exciting work the women wo-men in uniform are doing. Purpose of the state-wide caravan, cara-van, which begins May 1, will be to recruit an adequate number of women to fill vital war jobs and delay as long as possible induction of heads of families and essential war workers. Reception, speakers and publicity publi-city committees are being formed to carry the advance story to the schools, . churches, civic and patriotic patri-otic organizations of both Milford and Minersville, whose residents are invited to attend the show free of charge.
