Show SOUTH MILFORD Winifred Gray of Milford is spend-iug spend-iug a week with Vivian Golden at her ranch home. Miss Beniti James of Black Rock was the guest of Mrs. W. C. Gates on Monday. Mrs. Walter Weber left last Friday Fri-day for Los Angeles. After a short visit with her husband's relatives, the Joseph Webers, she will engage in the teaching of lip-reading in Hollywood. Holly-wood. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Moore, who have long been ranchers at Nada, are leaving this week by auto for Cor-vallis, Cor-vallis, Oregon, to make their future home. They are leaving a host of friends and neighbors Who wish them well. Miss Editha Mathison and brother James of Duncan, Arizona, spent last week-end with their aunt, Mrs. Reuben Jones. Miss Mathison has been attending summer school at Flagstaff, Arizona, and she describes most graphically the acute shortage of water both for houses and fields. The Merry Makers held their fortnightly fort-nightly dance at the club house and had a most pleasant evening with the large crowd present. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rosseler and boys of Ogden spent part of last week visiting Mrs. Roosler's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Stanley. Mrs. Hattie Roth of Tooele has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Bradshaw. The Social Hour club met last Thursday afternoon, August 2. Mrs. George Jefferson of Milford gave an informal address to the club on the artistic arrangement of flowers and illustrated many of her ideas with flowers. The talk was most valuable valu-able and instructive coming on the eve of our annual flower show. To close the delightful afternoon delicious de-licious home made ice cream and little cakes were served by the hostesses, host-esses, Mesdames Arthur Williams and Reuben Jones. The next meeting will be the Flower show on August at which time the club entertains its friends by invitation. o |
