Show T T T 1 . . . t t I I t County News FRISCO Lorin Morrison and Mr. Hunt were looking over the mine and adjoining property last week returning to Salt Lake Friday. All the single men at the mine were were layed off Monday and most of them have gone leasing in the mine and on the dumps. James Gehiring met with a painful accident Tuesday when a loaded mine car being pushed out to the ore bins caught his feet and bruised them badly. He was taken to the hospital at Milford for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Goodwin and family motored to Beaver Sunday. Quite a number of Frisco people are on the sick list. Ed Richards has been laying off sick for the past two days. Mrs. Floyd Ross is suffering with an attack of tonsilitis. Mrs. Harold Baxter is visiting in Milford with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Baxter Bax-ter on account of the illness of her little son. Frank Stoddard has been laying off for the past few days on account of a bad cold. o f ADAMS VILLE I Charles Jones and Henry Larsen are sawing wood at Greenville. President Thomas W. Gunn and Chase Murdock members of the Stake Presidency, were present here at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting Sunday. Their remarks re-marks were very timely and instructive. instruc-tive. A number of those present expressed ex-pressed themselves as having enjoyed the meeting. Morgan Evans who has had employment em-ployment in Idaho as a mechanic for the past 8 mdnths returned home Monday. John Pearce and wife motored to Beaver Tuesday. Jimj Howd of Beaver was busy here buying cattle during the week. Elden Gillins of Minersville spent a day or two here last week. Cecil Evans who has been employed in Ogden at the sugar factory writes his parents here informing them that he is now employed by the Jewel Tea Co. of Stockton, Calif. Richard Heslington was home Sunday Sun-day visiting with his parents. George Cockett and wife of Beaver called at the home of Ruben Griffiths last Saturday evening. Mtiss Beth Griffiths was surprised by ten little girls and boys Wednesday Wednes-day night all enjoying themselves at a birthday party. All played games and enjoyed a nice luncheon. MINERSVILLE Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Showalter of , Panguitch were the guests of A. 0. Hardy Monday night. Mrs. Alfred Heslington and baby of Salt Lake City are here at the J. M. Griffith home. The Stake Presidency will be the speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday Sun-day evening December 14. Mrs. William Neilsen of Beaver spent two days here last week. Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Gunn and son Quintin of Beaver called on friends here Saturday. Hyrum Iverson spent the week end at Kanosh with his family. Miss Bertha Howd of Beaver spent a few hours here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Eyre are the proud parents of a son born December De-cember 4. Miss Elsie Hales, county librarian was a visitor at the Public Library Wednesday. TheM. H. S. Basketball team played play-ed ball at Parowan Friday night the final score being 23-35 in favor of M. H. S. Newell Iverson, Dorothy Burton Banks attended the ball game at Parowan Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Worthen and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Graff attended the ball game at Beaver Saturday night. Mrs. Newell Carter was the honored guest at a Miscellaneous shower Friday Fri-day night. Many lovely gifts were received. The Misses Rita Hall, President Cinda Mathews, Clysta and Norma Osborne attended a party at Beaver Saturday night. Mrs. Horace Carter entertained the members of the mothers club at her home Friday afternoon. |
