Show SENIOR CARNIVAL SUCCESS SOCIALLY AND FINANCIALLY (By Ferrian Frazier) The senior carnival which was held December 5, in the High School gymnasium gym-nasium proved to be successful both financially and socially. The decorations were attractive due to the hard work of the seniors and various classes. The people who attended at-tended were agreeably surprised by the different booths built and decorated decor-ated by the students, -f The prize booth, the ice cream booth was built by the Junior class. It was not only pretty but clever with home-made electric signs. A cash prize of $1.50 was given by the seniors sen-iors to the juniors as a reward of the latters' efforts. Catherine Munford, Nornia White, Marjory Thompson were in charge of the prize booth. Previous to the dance in the gym, a program was given in the auditorium consisting of a dance by the sophomore sopho-more girls, a reading by Beth Cole man, two songs by Sherman Hickman, Marion Bowman, Melvin Bowman, Jess Done, a duet by Ferrian Frazier and Lawrence Easton, and a reading by Louiena Patterson. At the dance, the prize fox trot was called and many responded but Kenneth Ken-neth Farnsworth and Mrs. Melbourne Heslington captured the prize which was a tie for the gentleman and a boquet of carnations for the lady. J Next came the prize waltz in which ' Mr. Ruben Jones and his daughter I Rosabelle were the couple to dance off with a box of candy for the gentle-1 man and a salt and pepper set for : the lady." The High School orchestra furnished music for the entire dance. I All the booths were busy as there was a large crowd attending. At the ring booth, many exhibited their skill by pitching for the highest score and at 11:30 when the scores were counted F. A. Bingham was presented with a 4 pound fruit cake for having the highest score. Miss Helen Bird was in charge of the decorating for the seniors. The senior class wish to thank the following merchants for contributing merchandise to the different booths. Jefferson Merc, The Corner Drug store, The Milford Pharmacy, Skaggs Safeway, J. C.
