Show BEAVER BRIEFS Bobby Burt, of Bingham, is here visiting with his grandmother, Mrs Agnes Bui-k, and other relatives. , Mrs. John Low has gone to Brigham City to attend a family reunion, and to visit with relatives for a few weeks. A baby boy arrived at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson, to Mr. and Mrs. Blain Morris, August 21st. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Farnsworth are rejoicing over the arrival of a son, born August 22nd. Mrs. Frank Andrews and children have returned to their home in Cali-ente, Cali-ente, Nevada, after spending the summer months with her mother, Mrs. D. D. Williams. . Miss Roma Tolton and Miss Cloe Boyter have returned from Salt Lake City, where they spent their vacation. Miss Letha Anderson and Miss Larella Smith leave this week for Provo, where they will attend the B. Y. U. this school year. Miss Jessie Fields, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Barton, was married Tuesday, August 21st, to Henry Fletcher, of Nicholson, Pa., at Farmington, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson, of Salt Lake City, spent the week with their son, Wiford, and wife, and visiting relatives in Adamsville. D. I. Frazer, of Salt Lake City, is here visiting with his sister, Mrs. Jean Hales, and other relatives. Librarians Meeting Miss Elsie Hales, our new County Librarian and Mrs. Otto Schwob, ex-county ex-county librarian, visited the Milford library Saturday and the Minersville library on Wednesday. They, with Mrs. Freda Outzen, of the Milford library, Miss Pauline Mathews, and Miss Alda Neilsen of the Beaver library, are leaving Friday, August 31st for the State Library convention that is being held at Cedar City, Sept. 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Johnson who have made their home in Beaver for the last year, left Sunday to make their home again in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hattie W. Schwob, after 13 years of library service for Beaver City and Beaver county, left the library work September 1st, and will leave September 6th to join her husband, hus-band, Otto Schwob, at Milford, and to make her home at that place. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris, of Bingham, have spent the last ten days at Beaver with his father, Andrew Morris, and other relatives. Mrs. D. A. Yardley and daughter, Miss Vedra Yardley, of Salt Lake City, left Monday for a few days' visit at Paragoonah, with Mjs. Yard-ley's Yard-ley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Robinsn. Mrs. Dorothy Baker, of Salt Lake City, is here visiting with her children, child-ren, Mrs. Wallace Paxton and sop, Milo Baker. Mrs. Laban M- Burt went to Salt Lake City, Thursday for medical advice ad-vice for their baby. She was accompanied accom-panied by her sister, Mrs. Stella Burt. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kesler, of Fill more, were guests of Mrs. James Yardley Sunday. Oliver E. Ashworth spent the weekend week-end at Cedar City visiting with his three daughters. Business Building Remodeled. Work is progressing fast on the re-modeing re-modeing of the J. F. Tolton block under the management of Enoch Burton. Bur-ton. The arrival of a son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Oakden, Aug. 20th, was received with joy as it being be-ing their first boy. Seventy-Third Birthday Mrs. Mary Green celebrated her 73 birthday Tuesday, August 21, when her relatives and neighbors called on her. The evening was spent in games and at eleven o'clock a dainty lunch was served. |
