Show FIREMAN HURT AT CEDAR CITY Sunday morning the fire department depart-ment was called out to subdue flames which were destroying t'.ie chicken coop and small storage building belonging be-longing to Parley Dalley west of the B. A. C. But J. A. Kopp, chief of the fire department, who was riding on the fender of the side that struck the pole, saw that if he remained on the truck he would be crushed by the pole, so about ten feet before reaching it he leaped, the speed of the machine catapulting him about thirty feet beyond be-yond the pole. Mr. Kopp remembers only that he rolled over and over and when he stopped he was slightly dazed daz-ed and found that he had a severely sprained left knee and left ankle and numerous bruises on various parts of his body. Had Mr. Kopp remained on the machine ma-chine there is little doubt but that he would have been killed instantly. At it is he is suffering very severely with his knee iand ankle. Record, Cedar City. |
