Show BEAVER PUNISHES LOS ANGELES MEN WHO DISTURB PEACE That Beaverites can take care of themselves when invaders from the south come looking for trouble is the conclusion to be drawn from court records re-cords of a fine of fifty dollars levied against two men from Los Angeles who attempted to beat up Tom Low of the Low Hotel n Beaver Friday night. The men, B. W. Colburn and A. B. Brown percipitated difficulties when they became intoxicated in their room at the Low Hotel Friday night. When their celebration reached a point where it disturbed the other guests of the Hotel, Low entered the room to quiet the Los Angeles men. They attacked at-tacked him and between the two of them were making a signal success of beating him up, when, attracted by the noise, Miss Mildred Tuggles, an employee of the hotel, entered the room and took a hand in the affray. She cracked one of the insugents over the head with a bottle and placed the other out of the combat, then notified the night watchman, Ruben Gillies. They were reviving when Gillies arrived ar-rived and made vigerous protest against being taken into custody. ; They appeared for hearing before 1 W. S. Tolton and were fined $50 each for intoxication. Moreover, as liquor was found in the Desota Eight car they had been driving, they will probably prob-ably be held by the county for possession. posses-sion. o I |
