Show u ' JOLLY STITCHERS HOLD SUCCESSFUL BAZAAR The Jolly Stitchers held a chicken t pie supper and bazaar in the Wood-row Wood-row hall last Thursday. The event t a great success, both socially and financially. The bazaar lasted ull the afternoon, and fancy work, quilts, aprons, dresses and fine needle work was admired, bought, and the funds of the club enriched. Leo Tholman won one quilt and Mrs. Beckwith won the other 011 a ", ticket provided by Mrs. Alma Greenwood. Green-wood. The chicken supper was a pro-noun-ced success. A full portion ot chicken pie was enough for most, served caafeterla style, with other hishes, at a mere song. The total proceeds amounted to t $244.00, which will leave a snug t summ in the treasury after all ex- penses are paid. a The organlation Is now considering plans to own Its own club house. This is a very commendable desire t and should receive the hearty sup-aiport sup-aiport of the entire community. |
