Show COLTON WOULD AID UTAH ROADS ' WASHINGTON, Dec. 7, Congress- . man Don B. Colton today Introduced a bill which, if It passes, will greatly expedite the building of three or four federal-aid highways In Utah The bill provids that weher states . are unable to put up their share of the cost of constructing designated United States highways the government govern-ment may advance the full cost of construction, In order that the completion com-pletion of these roads may not be delayed. The bill would not increase in-crease the aflotment of federal-nld funds to any state, but would con- . centrate this money on the roads most needed The Utah roads that would he expedited ex-pedited under this bill are the highway high-way through the Uintah Basin, the Midland trail through Price and the The bll also would probably expldilo work on a portion of the Lincoln Highway in Utah, west of Salt Lake City. In addition to facilitating completion com-pletion of the designated transcontinental transcon-tinental highways In Utah, the bill would be of great benefit to Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Arizona and Now Mexico. |
