Show Town-Cleaning Time We are; glad to state that there is being some interest shown ir tidying up our town a little. The Ladies of the town have started a movement to police the town, freeing it from weeds and other rubbish which is an eye sore as well as a memace. The date for this work has been set for Labor Day, which comes on Sept. 6th this year. They ask all who are embued with any civic pride to turn out and devote de-vote this day puting the town in a presentable condition. They also want those who are lacking in civic pride to try and imbibe enough' good exhilarating mountain moun-tain ozone between now and then so that they will have a sufficient su-fficient amount of civic pride tc keep them going all day. The women folks will, as a reward for this pride, coupled with sufficient su-fficient energy to put it in practice, prac-tice, give you a free dinner and a big ball at night. What more could you ask? Your own pride satisfied, the town made to look 10,000 per cent better, the satisfaction satis-faction and comfort everybody would get out of it, the inner man satisfied and a sweet lady to trip the light fantastic with you to finish up the job would certainly be compensation enough for any mortal being. , Then, too, the town does look like well it certainly needs a thoro "policing", alright. In the mean time it is requested request-ed that all owning property get busy and clean the weeds and rubbish from their own property proper-ty and homes so that they can all join in the big general rQund- ""r""T on Labor Day. The sanitary - inspectors or tne state will ue here next month to score the town and we should get upon the list at least far enough to avoid observation at the tail end. And right here we might add that there is some out houses which are badly in need of disinfectants disinfect-ants and it don't take a sluth to find them either.
