Show A Big Land Deal On Richlands Project to Change Hands Milton' Moody, president, and N. L. Peterson, one of the directors di-rectors of the Deseret Irrigation company, both of Hinckley, went to Salt Lake the latter part of last week for the purpose of concluding con-cluding a deal with California capitalists for the purchase of 10,600 acres of land of the Rich-lands Rich-lands Irrigation project and 20,000 acre-feet of water from the holdings of the Deseret Irrigation Irri-gation company. The Californ-ians Californ-ians have a holding of land equal to that of the intended purchase - and the water is intended to irrigate ir-rigate both tracts. The California people were to have arrived in Salt Lake the last of last week and the deal was to have been closed the fore part of this week but as Mr. Moody has not yet returned we have not learned the out come of the deal. The purchase price of the land and water will involve something like $275,000.00, and Mr. Peterson has been in California Calif-ornia for some time arranging the details of the transaction. |
