Show Marriage Announced Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Janet Judd, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Judd, and Cpl. Kenntli A. Wellington, Welling-ton, a son of Mr. and Mis. John E. Wellington of Provo. The wedding took place May 9 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple, with J. W. Knight officiating. Immediately Im-mediately after the wedding a dinner din-ner was held at the home of the Bride's aunt, Mrs. George F. Daly, 220 Rosewood Avenue, Salt Lake City. The bride wore a white satin en train with a finger tip veil caught to a crown of orange blossoms and carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and white carnations A re-cepiton re-cepiton was held at the home of the bride's parents on May 12. Mrs. Wellington attended the U SAC and was affiliated with the Theta Upsilon. The newly-weds will go to Florence, Flor-ence, South Carolina to make their home, while Cpl. Wellington is stationed sta-tioned there. Mrs. Reed L. Stone, who has been visiting her parents, M-S Grant Moulton for the past five weeks, left Sunday to join her husband, Cpl Reed L. Stone, who is stationed station-ed at Lincoln, Nebraska. While here she was visited by her two sisters, Mrs. Boyd L. Sampson of Tod Park, and Miss Garda Moulton Moul-ton of Hollywood. M-S Virt Barney were pleasantly surprised Monday evening with a phone call from their son Ph M lc Gordon Barney, who has been in the armed forces for the past 20 months. He flew from California to the Marshalls and is now on his way to New York to report for officer's training before getting a furlough. M-S Frank Roberts left Delta on Monday for Denver where they will visit their son Thyne who is in the hospital there. Reed G. Starley has moved from Nephi to Burley, Idaho, where he has a position with the Idaho Bank & Trust Company. Mrs. Bessie Webb entertained a group of young ladies at her home on Thursday evening, May 3. They were Mrs. Donna Sagers, Mrs. Marie Ma-rie Lake, Mrs. Eva Holt, Mrs. Verle Damron, Mrs. Eddys Barben, Mrs. Bessie Webb, Mrs. Enid Hopkins, and Mrs. Lorayne Van De Vanter. A nice luncheon was served and Rook was played. High score was won by Mrs. Enid Hopkins; second high by Mrs. Verle Damron and the low score by Mrs. Eddys Barben. A good time was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Cassie Allred received word that Mr. and Mrs. John Marshal had a new son, named Micael Vincent Vin-cent Marshal, who was born on April 26. Mrs. aMrshal is the form-April form-April 26.Mrs. Marshal is the form- M-S Otis Konnalis of Salt Lake stopped off at the Delta airport last week on their way home from Los Angeles. They came on in to Delta and had dinner with M-S Van Bishop. Mrs. Konnalis was Mary Johnson before her marriage. mar-riage. She attended school in Delta. Del-ta. Homer Christensen will leave on Thursday for St. George where he will graduate Friday from Dixie College. He has been home for two weeks helping his father on the farm. After his graduation he will return here. |
