Show Boshard Squad Leader In Philippines WITH THE 25th INFANTRY (TROPIC (TRO-PIC LIGHTNING) DIVISION ON LUZON. Sergeant David R. Boshard, son of Mrs. Willmirth Boshard, Los Angeles, and husband of Mrs. Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Holman Boshard, Delta, Utah, is a squad leader of a light machine mach-ine gun section of a combat unit of the 25th Division now fighting on Luzon Island in the Philippines. Entering the service on June 4, 1943 at Fort MacArthur, California, Sgt. Boshard took his basic training train-ing at Camp Roberts, California, and came overseas January 5, 1944. He attended Delta high school, and excelled in football and track, holding hold-ing the quarter-mile track record at Brigham Young Invitational Track and Field Meet. Before entering en-tering service, he was employed by the Remington Arms Company, in Salt Lake City. Sgt Boshard has two brothers in service, Sgt. Robert' Dixon Boshard, in the Asiatic theater, the-ater, and Jack Boshard in the Mer- I chant Marine. |
