Show Alumni Banquet, Election Held in Hinckley Cleo Bishop, an alumni member of the Hinckley High School, was elected president of the association associa-tion for next year. Mrs. Adell Petersen Pe-tersen and Mrs. Beulah Bassett were elected as the two vice presidents. pres-idents. Orlando Hepworth was e-lected e-lected secretary. The elections were held at the close of the banquet ban-quet at which nearly 200 people were in attendance. The long tables which were placed plac-ed in the auditorium upstairs was decorated with bouquets of lilacs. Miniature flags were at each plate. President Leonard Palmer gave a speech of welcome and introduced introduc-ed the toastmaster of the evening, Thomas Reeve of Fillmore. Toast were given by June Black, Marvin Moody, Hugh Hilton, Homer Petersen, Peter-sen, Dana Pratt, Geniel Bennett, Joe Buchanan, and E. J. Eliason of the school board. Mrs. Phyllis Bennett rendered a vocal solo. A double trio number consisting of Grace Pace, Bertha Love, Ruth Talbot, Cluff Talbot, and Orlando Hepworth, and a trio by Mrs. Terrsa Terry and daughters daugh-ters of Lynndyl. The graduating class was presented presen-ted to the association by principal Joe Buchanan. A.fter the banquet a dance was held in the gym. Many out-of-town people came for the occasion. |
