Show Perianal f)titeie&t Hollis Done and Freeman Done, who have been released recent ly from service in the navy, are visiting visit-ing in Delta with t heir brother, Harold Done, and family. Mrs. Alvin Bohn and Mrs. Carl Bennett returned Monday from a visit of ten days in Sacramento. They made the trip with Robert Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor, vh was driving to Redwood, Red-wood, California, to visit his brother, broth-er, Lee Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Knight, from Idaho Falls, visited several days i this week in Sutherland with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Sanford and Mr. and Mrs. Brown Sanford spent Memorial Day in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Warner, who are now living in Ogden, visited vis-ited in Delta over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Billings and daughter, spent Memorial Day in Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Brown Sanford and their daughter, Miss Shirley Sanford, San-ford, left Monday to a visit in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. James Colby, who moved to Salt Lake City several weeks ago, have bought a home there. Mrs. Frank Colby, their mother, has been staying with them since she was released from the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Tolman visited in Delta Thursday and Friday, driv- ing down from Provo. They have 1 been in St. George for the past year, and are now moving to Grand Junction, Colorado. Mrs. Corwin S. Stout, from San Diego, and her son, Bud, and his wife, and her daughter, Verlene, made a short visit in Delta Sunday. Sun-day. Delta was their home about twenty yeras ago or so, and they called on old friends here. Mr. Stout died in San Diego several weeks ago, and Mrs. Stout and the family were on their way to Ogden, Og-den, lo visit relat ions. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Thornton. of Provo, spent Memorial Day in Delta. Del-ta. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cahoon and children, from Cedar City, visited in Delta for several days with Mrs. Catioott's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Starley. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Church and their daughters, Joyce and Juvene, and son, left Delta last week for a trip of six weeks or so through Idaho and Montana. Mr. Church bought a large trailer house to accommodate ac-commodate the family on the trip, and he will be sheep-shearing. Donald Ray Conk, son of Mrs. Rose Conk of Deseret and Mr. Henry Hen-ry Conk of Provo, went back to Salt Lake Saturday. Don has enlisted in the Navy, and had to report Saturday at 2:00 p. m. He will be shipped out Sunday Sun-day to San Diego. His brother, Leo, enlisted last month. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pace and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Callister returned to Delta Friday night, after a trip in Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Johnson and their son, Larry, made a trip to Gunnison on Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johnson, of Whittier, California, and their son, Carl Willden, and their father, Hy-rum Hy-rum Johnson, arrived in Delta on Memorial Day, to visit Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Johnson. They went from here to Gunnison, on Sunday, Sun-day, and their father, Hyrum Johnson, John-son, is remaining in Delta for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. James Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Eccles Cameron, of Provo, visited in Delta Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Judd. They are returning home after a i trip through southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Parker and their two children have been visiting visit-ing in Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Parker. They returned return-ed to their home in San Francisco on Tuesday of last week, and Mrs. Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Bogh and two daughters made the trip with them and will visit there. Henry Conk, who has purchased an apartment house at 709 S. 2nd West, Provo, drove down for Memorial Mem-orial Day. He was accompanied by Mrs. Elna Oliver and her two sons of Provo. His son Don and his mother, Mrs. Amanda Conk, went Saturday to Provo with him. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Callister went to Salt Lake City Monday, to be there with their father, T. Clark Callister, of Fillmore, who was entering the hospital for an operation. Mr. and Mrs. J. Avery-Bishop are spending several days in Cedar City, with their daughter, Mrs. A W. Stephenson, and family. LaRue and Luana Anderson, the daughters of Rulon Anderson, are spending their vacation in Lewis-ton, Lewis-ton, Utah, with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Hyer. Mr. and Mrs. Krit Petty were visitors to Delta over Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Forester Kirby and children, from Salt Lake City, are visiting Mrs. Kirby's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Terry, in Delta over the past week end. There was a slight frost May 30th. Pretty late. Almost June 1st. Art Steele was a visitor to Delta on Memorial Day. Dee Sagers, supervisior of enlisted enlist-ed men's corps, 9th Service command, com-mand, has been transferred to San Francisco. His wife, Mrs. Pearl will follow when he has obtained a house. |
