Show NORTH TRACT Dear Folks; Mrs. Guy Watts is visiting friends in W'oodrow and Sugarville. Wednesday she was the guest of Mrs. Dick Clark and will leave for her home in Portland, Oregon on Friday. Guy works in the shipyards.. ship-yards.. They have two sons in the service. One in the army and the other in the navy. Mr. Oppenheimer spent a few-days few-days in Milford on business. The Jolly Stitchers will meet with Mrs. Cora Morrison this Friday. Fri-day. Mrs. Annie Walker, Mrs. Bryce Woods and Mrs. Morgan Edwards Ed-wards are assisting hostesses. The Stitchers were wfell pleased with the lunch program at the high school. Food asked for was contributed con-tributed almost 100 per cent. Mr. and Mrs. Moulton were thrilled this week when Ada and Lee came home to visit on Monday, Mon-day, that! day being Lee's birthday. Lee came to Provo for the Junior Prom and then on home. Tom also telephoned his mother from Albuquerque. Albu-querque. Tom is transferring to the Navy Air Corps. And did you notice Ada's picture in the Deseret News and in the Tribune. She had a prominent part on the Prom committee. Mr. and Mrs. Ferrel Walker have purchased the grocery business of Dick Wind and took over on Monday Mon-day morning. Ferrel is employed by his father and will work as a farmer. Cal Jones was out on Sunday but still has his arm in a sling. Did you all like the old-time dancing at the high school? Well, Marve Moody did so now he's going go-ing to have the adult class in Sunday school and M. I. A. put on a good ole shindig about Wednesday Wednes-day or Thursday of next week at Sutherland. They may even try the Berlin Polka which they did not try at the high school. Well a few more boys called ni for service. Glen Losse and "Scot-ty" "Scot-ty" Clark. The Sugarville M. I. A. all came down to Maxine Jackson's party and Sgt. Oliver gave a short and to the point speech. They joined in . dancing later and enjoyed it very much. Mrs. Winifred Williams and son Vou, are visiting at their parent's home this week. Cattle buyers come and go but not many sales. However, Wm. Walker did have to buy Roy Smith a new hat on a certain bet on some cattle prices. I believe Roy got on a bet from Dewey too. Leo Davis continues to improve in health. Soon will be able to get at his spring work. Amon Johnson's family are again in quarantine for scarlet fever. Isnt' it nice to have March act so nicely. The way January and February have behaved has surely been a headache but here we are |
