The American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary and their helpers will offer poppies that day and in conjunction with the opening open-ing of the Millard County Junior Livestock Show, it is hoped to raise a large fund to help disabled veterans vet-erans and families. he poppy was first sold publicly on the streets in 1919 and was made the memorial flower of the American Legion in 1920, and in 1921 by the Auxiliary. Each year approximately twenty million A-mericans A-mericans wear the poppies in tribute tri-bute to the war dead, contributing for the flowers nearly two million dollars for the welfare of the war's living victims.
