Show I New Officers Elected I For Hinckley P. T. A. At the last meeting of the Parent Par-ent - Teacher association in Hinckley Hin-ckley on Thursday, May 9, new officers of-ficers for the coming year were elected. Adele Peterssen, as new president, replaces Thora Petersen and La Veda Bishop, newly elected secretary takes the place vacated by Cree Palmer. At this meeting the problem of planting lawn on the grouds surrounding sur-rounding the elementary school was discussed and plans were made for its accomplishment. The school board offered to match e-qually e-qually any contributions made by the townspeople." A committee was appointed to dircet this activity, the members being, Wayne Petersen, Peter-sen, chairman, Lafe Nielson, and Harriet Spendlove. The entertainment for the evening eve-ning was provided by the elementary element-ary school under the direction of Mrs. Velma Thornton. They presented pre-sented a play entitled " Father I Time's Headache," which was ' ! written by Mrs. Thorton's room. The costumes and decorations were : the children's original interpretations interpreta-tions and each character was clev- : erly presented in costume fitting to the part. In the story Spring had mysteriously myster-iously disappeared and Father Time was in a dreadful stew. He called all his months together for questioning. With the help of Mr. Owl and Mrs. Robin the plot to kidnap Spring was discovered and Spring was allowed to appear. Between acts of the play numbers numb-ers were rendered as follows: Tap-dance, Tap-dance, Sylvia and Janet Bishop, accompanied ac-companied by Elaine Hardy; Vocal duet, Karen Petersen and Margene Hilton; and two vocal solos by Le-Voy Le-Voy Tolbert, accompanied by his mother, -Mrs. Cleone Tolbert. |
